On behalf of the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation, Lester Blades is delighted to invite applications for the position of CEO. For more than 25 years, Polly Farmer Foundation has achieved positive outcomes by taking a “strengths-based approach” to support Aboriginal students who have the potential to succeed, and who have the support of their family/carers.

The Foundation’s educational enrichment programs have empowered Aboriginal students to complete school and move into successful post-school pathways, including university, direct employment, apprenticeships, traineeships and technical training. The Foundation partners with many of Australia’s largest corporations, and is supported by State and Federal Governments. See www.pff.com.au for further information on the work of this leading charitable organisation in the field of Aboriginal education.

The next CEO of Polly Farmer Foundation will build on years of success, and lead the Foundation in the next stage of its development.

Relationship management is key to success in this role, whether it be working with the directors, with funders such as Australia’s largest resources companies, Aboriginal communities or the families of students. The CEO must be capable of achieving and demonstrating real and positive results for students, and in particular those outcomes that lead to self-determination for young Aboriginal people.

The Foundation is interested in candidates who have successfully held a similar leadership role, people who have worked in corporate affairs/relations or similar would be of interest. A background in education is also relevant, though not essential. Critical though is your alignment and sense of purpose towards the mission of the Foundation. This is a position for someone who brings passion with professionalism, who understands and embraces what social impact really means, and who can continue to leverage the great results that the Foundation continues to achieve. In addition to your great strategic leadership capabilities, you are also someone who can develop and nurture the workforce of circa 80 staff.

The Foundation will offer a competitive remuneration package to attract an outstanding candidate to the position.

People interested in this position are encouraged to contact Geoff Blades on 08 9221 0744 for a preliminary discussion, or request a copy of the Candidate Information Pack from judith@lesterblades.com.au

Applications should be lodged at Lester Blades via applications@lesterblades.com.au quoting reference no. LB302805.

We would prefer to receive your application by Monday 25 July 2022.
