By believing in yourself you can change the future of your community. The Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation is an enabler for change through education and that is why I gift my time to the Foundation. You can create your own destiny by embracing education as the conduit for self-change and consequently community change.

Gail has been on the board of the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation since 2016.

Gail is a proud descendant of Bunderan, a Bibbulmun (part of Nyoongar country) yorga (woman) with family connections throughout Western Australia.  Her career has always included roles that allow her to work with and support Aboriginal communities, complimenting her passion as an Indigenous activist. She is currently the Regional Development Unit Manager at South West Aboriginal Land & Sea Council, serves on the board of Nyoongar Wellbeing & Sports, and previously worked as Aboriginal Community Development Officer for the City of Melville.

She also sits on the Fiona Stanley Hospital Consumer Advice Council as the Aboriginal representative and on the City of Cockburn Aboriginal Reference Group.

Gail has received numerous awards for her voluntary work with the Nyoongar and mainstream communities around health and wellness for women and children; family violence; youth concerns; and poor justice outcomes. Her awards include an Order of Australia Medal in 2012, an Amnesty International Human Rights Award in 2005, and a Rotary Community Service Award in 2004.
