Nestled in the Hunter Valley, the Muswellbrook program has been operating since 2012 and caters to approximately 35 students from Muswellbrook High School.
Nestled in the Hunter Valley, the Muswellbrook program has been operating since 2012 and caters to approximately 35 students from Muswellbrook High School.
The Centre is based at the Muswellbrook TAFE Centre and occupies two spacious rooms which are ideal for regular junior and senior tutoring spaces, as well as for visiting speakers and special cultural and activities.
Participating students have opportunities to visit universities in Newcastle and Sydney, and take part in interstate camps focusing on science and culture. Cultural visits to significant local sites are also a regular highlight.

The program has strong links to local coal industries, including site visits, mentoring and career visits from local employers.
Year 12 students have had great success through this program, with many transitioning directly into higher education, onto a traineeship, or into direct employment.
Muswellbrook has been supported by a range of sponsors since 2012, including BHP, the Sara Halvedene Foundation, and MACH Energy (formerly Rio Tinto Coal and Allied).
