Cecil Andrews Follow The Dream

Follow the Dream at Cecil Andrews College in Armadale offers a vibrant and productive environment for students to develop academic and personal skills. It operates from a dedicated, well-resourced room, with specialist tutoring provided by talented university students and experienced school teachers.

Approximately 50 students participate in the program coordinated at Cecil Andrews College, with Outreach programs at Armadale Senior High School, Kelmscott Senior High School, Lesmurdie Senior High School and Byford Secondary College.

The program has a strong aspirational focus. Innovation and cultural leadership are important aspects of the program. New opportunities are continually developed and students take leading roles in sharing their culture within the school and at primary schools in the local community.

Students new to the program participate in the ‘Create the Dream’ workshop at Curtin University – a two day on-campus experience to orient them to opportunities a university provides.

To conclude this workshop, family members/carers join the students for a presentation to showcase their learning.

The Program was established in 2004 and is supported by the WA Department of Education.
