This inaugural program commenced in 1997 with 23 students from Karratha, Roebourne and Wickham. The model was so successful that it has since been rolled out across Australia, with nearly 1800 students enrolled today in 49 primary and secondary programs.
Students can attend the program up to four days per week and are supported by a team of specialist tutors who provide support across a range of curriculum areas.
While maintaining a strong link to local employment opportunities, students are also exposed to the possibilities of university and other career pathways by specialist study programs and annual camps to Perth.
