New partnership supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through innovative educational initiatives

Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia (BMSA) is proud to announce its new partnership with the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation focused on supporting innovative educational initiatives for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Australia.

A key initiative of the partnership is the Indigital Schools Project that will provide digital skills training to secondary students enrolled in the Foundation’s Follow The Dream program at Muswellbrook High School in NSW.

The partnership with the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation is not only a monetary donation by BMSA, but also provides the company with the opportunity to participate in various hands-on activities with the students in the program.

Steve Niho, CEO Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia (BMSA), comments: “BMSA is very pleased to partner with the Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation and support the Indigital Schools Project as they are closely linked to Bridgestone’s global corporate social responsibility commitment, ‘Our Way to Serve.’ We are committed to utilizing our strengths to support our local communities and enhance the way people live, learn and work.”

Cate Sims, CEO Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation, says: “For over 23 years the Foundation has strived to empower Aboriginal students through education. Thanks to our new partnership with Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia, we can offer students at our Muswellbrook Follow The Dream program access to contemporary digital skills and experiences and much needed extra technological support. These resources and activities further equip students with the skills to successfully learn at school and excel in their chosen career paths.
