Students from our Sevenoaks FOLLOW THE DREAM program attended WA’s International Women’s Day Breakfast Event ‘Celebrating Aboriginal Women’s Voices’ at the Grand Ballroom Crown Perth.

8 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Woman shared their powerful stories. The Organisers also requested a student to speak at the event and FOLLOW THE DREAM Coordinator, Jennet Hansen, nominated Aaliyah Nestoridis. Aaliyah delivered an empowering speech based on the theme ‘Choose to Challenge’.

Aaliyah spoke about her involvement with FOLLOW THE DREAM, her personal challenges and how she overcame them and the strong role models in her family. She called on young women to rally together and hold each other up towards a shared vision of advocating for change. Congratulations Aaliyah, we are so proud of you!
