Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Laws (first class honours), a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and is an accredited mediator. In 2024, she completed the company secretary course through the Governance Institute of Australia.
Rebecca brings a wealth of legal and marketing experience with over 12 years of working in marketing and sales in the tourism and hospitality industry, and over 10 years legal experience working in both the private and government sectors. Before commencing her legal practice at the State Solicitor’s Office, Rebecca worked in the area of criminal defence and was later appointed as the Research Associate to his Honour Justice Mazza JA at the Western Australian Supreme Court of Appeal. She currently practices as an Assistant State Solicitor in the areas of corporate, public and civil litigation.
Rebecca has held board positions with the Tourism Council of Western Australia and the Perth Convention Bureau, and as a committee member of Women Lawyers of Western Australia and the Western Australian Law Society’s Access to Justice Committee. Throughout her legal career she has acted as mentor to both law students’ and junior practitioners.
Rebecca was nominated as a Board member, in the position of company secretary, in May 2024.
