Aboriginal students who attend after-school programs run by the Graham “Polly” Farmer Foundation are more likely to attend class and stay on to the end of Year 12.
Participants in its Follow The Dream: Partnerships for Success program, which provides one-on-one mentoring and career pathway planning, recorded an 88 per cent attendance rate in 2016, compared with 67 per cent for Aboriginal students overall.
